It's Black History Month, one of the first month-long celebrations this year serving as a vital reminder that recognizing where we came from as a society is almost as important as where we are headed - especially when it comes to diversity and inclusion. If you're looking for resources to help you understand and develop a mindset of diversity and inclusion as a professional, this list of media to explore is a great place to start celebrating Black History.
Furthermore, this is an ideal time for companies and individuals to recognize the importance of celebrating Black History and the role that diversity and inclusion play in today’s world. While conversations around these topics and celebration of diverse voices should be a year-round initiative, Black History Month is a reminder of the courage and perseverance of many inspirational individuals who tirelessly worked for and continue to be a voice for very basic human rights.
As part of this, our Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Committee put together a list of some resources available, which we shared internally with our own employees this month, for anyone interested in taking a deeper and closer look to celebrate Black history in all its forms around the world.
Below are 20 Black History Month Resources for you to start with.*
